F8X M4/M3 Steering Wheel Trim Double Spoke Insert for F3X?
Hi guys
Anyone know if you can order the double spoke steering wheel center insert separately from BMW or if it would fit it in our steering wheels? I think the double spoke insert on the M4 looks much better than the stock F3x one. The steering wheels look the same for the most part? M4: F32 4 Series: |

Hmm good question. They look almost the same. Check steering wheel component PNs on real oem.

The steering wheel and airbag have different part numbers.
Now if the F80/F82 insert fits we will also need the rear cover (item 4) because of the hole in it.

$155 for the front trim sounds like a number to consider, but $300 (estimated) for front & rear trim sounds kinda scary. I'd be interested in seeing the F8x rear trim... Maybe the F3x rear trim can be modified to accomplish the same result?

Dang that price is harsh. I like the look of RW Carbon's cf insert. Have you seen it on their website. I think the price is little cheaper than this if i remember correctly and looks awesome. Btw, i am not affiliated with them in any way lol just giving my 2 cents. I just live not too far from them haha. Ok... Back to work..

The part number for the carbon insert is 32302345203 but I don't know if BMW sells it separately.

The M5/M6 paddles do not work on the F30 without swapping over the electronics but the M3/M4 should. Part no. 61317847610

ohh i was just thinking about any paddles but thank you for that. definitely a project ill try out. my only concern is if i get the backing and the paddles would i be missing any wires in the sport steering wheel i have now? i know most ppl just get the entire steering wheel with the paddles for the retrofit.

If i wanted to do this i would just buy the front piece and dremel out the back...not like anyone sees the back piece. and if you are leasing and wanted to reverse it just install the stock one back and no one will ever know!!

thats true but im more worried that wen i dremel it i might not get the right size or wen i click on the paddles it wont feel as natural. the back part is the cheapest part actually im more worried about the front and paddles themselves. |
