This is the worst tank I have had so far, you can tell the roads are quiet for Christmas!

Isn't it amazing; you'd have to drive like a sissy in most cars to get that!

For what it offers, it has to be the best engine available right now.

38.9mpg over 92k miles. Better than my old A4 170bhp 2.0tdi

For balance I have just topped up my 335d and realised Ive done 200 miles at 23.9 mpg

40 miles was a dual carriageway trip
60 miles in peak hour traffic only because its Christmas
And 100 miles in Sport + on empty roads doing 'man stuff'

Beat that!

Even the wifes i10 is averaging 24mpg (short city trips only)

If you do rag an oil burner on track you can go pretty low....

This is mine after my 2 flying laps at an Evo How Fast session at Bedford autodrome.

However, a 2 hour session on the autobahn averaging 110mpg still saw it above 25mpg, which seems entirely reasonable.

I know it's a waste of a great engine, but having put winter tyres on, I thought it would be an interesting experiment to see what I could achieve by driving like my grandad. Who's dead, so very carefully! Surprised and pleased with the result; not a lot less than my 120d!

Interesting to note the OBD says 49.2, so a 9% discrepancy, which I think is quite large.

Back to normal driving this week!

After 10k miles my 2016 335d tells me I've done 46mpg, Fuelly says 42mpg.

Sorry, clearly have to try harder!

After 650 miles from new the reading is an impressive 43.6mpg. My average on my previous 320D over 50k miles was 46.5mpg.
