No Signal

Yep finally somebody answers my question, thank you. (yes that is what i got)

after a while the iDrive restarted and all is working again (i hope)

Is yours the new touch iDrive?

How many times has this happened?

Have you asked the dealer about it? (if so did they fix it)

Yesterday was the second time it happened, first time was a week after I bought the car (early December), both times were exactly the same.

I haven't said anything to the dealer just yet but I will when it goes in for a service or if a more serious issue comes up.. Honestly i am not too concerned, similar things happen to my iphone or PC much more often, and seeing as these are pretty much computers in the cars I think the odd hiccup is bound to happen.

That said, the first time it happened I thought the whole car was about to shut down!

Mine didnt show anything, just went blank and then rebooted as mentoined before. everything stopped like your pc crash and then back to normal.

BTW: Thanks for the picture, i now have something i can send to the dealer.

I was going to take a picture myself but i was in traffic and could not find anywhere to pull over.

The car goes in on the 5th of February for the PPK upgrade so i will get them to look at the issue and report back if they find anything.

The NO SIGNAL and reboot happened to me the day after I collected the car. That was back in April last year and it hasn't happened since.

This happen to me about 6 times now. Usually when I'm listening to the radio

Mine has only happened once in 1,700 miles (and only when i was using the Nav and making a phone call)

I have emailed my dealer explaining the problem as the car is going in to have the PKK fitted next week

. so hopefully they can read some codes off the system and see if there is an issue.

Yes this happens on my car with the USB plugged in. Tried a few USBs, same result (eventually). No USB plugged in, no problem. Dealer has had it in twice to look and can't find the problem.

This happened to me the other morning.

I turned the radio off and on and it rebooted....

Was not too impressed!

Just out of interest did anyone find out what the problem is? I had the " no signal " message whilst driving and not sure what it means.
