I just checked the BMW software update site and found a new Bluetooth update file (UPD1005) 8.06MB.

it looks like they updated the Telephone support firmware from 3.5.4 to 3.5.5.

They don't post a release date, so I don't know how long it's been there.

Hmm... It says its for build dates March 2012 to present. I have a 2012 F30, but build date was Dec 2011.... There's another option of March 2010 to Dec 2010. So my date is right in the middle! Anyone know if I can download it? Thanks.

When you go to the site, it asks for the 7-char VIN. It uses that to validate which updates apply to your car. Try it and see what it lists.

I did... It comes up with what I said above. Weird... It puts me in the middle of the two dates...

Any way, when did this update come out? Because I did a software update that may have been the same as this one about 1 month ago.

If you coded your car, would this reset any of your coding?

The new version is 3.5.5. You can display the version you have on car via the Software Update setting.

The update screen also has a back-out option so if you run into problems, you can always revert the update.

There are no dates on the update, so who knows.

This is not an ECU software module, it's only the Bluetooth/Telephone software. It doesn't affect any coding (or at least it didn't for me).

Me too. That's what the release notes say, MX-3.5.4, TX-3.5.5.

Also, there are reports from the "other" forum site that this update solves the iPhone e-mail message not showing issue.

Yes, hope so. Haven't tested myself yet but it will be great if this works.

must be fairly new, the last update I did was in June which was version UPD01004

Just installed the update in a Dutch car. IPhone 3GS with iOs6 still doesnt show sms nor email

Well, I had hopes that this update would fix the issues with album art, artist and song title over USB. But all for nothing! hehe

tested iPhone 4s with ios6 after the update: no office except voor contacts.

I stuck my VIN number in today and it offered me the UPD1005.bin update. Installed it in the car OK, although no noticeable changes as yet i.e. SMS works when it feels like it, email doesn't work at all. Then again the readme does only refer to iOS5 improvements and doesn't mention iOS6

Is this new update for all languages or only english? When I look at the swedish BMW site, the latest version is UPD1000 .
