While it isn't a M3 GTS or anything like that but BMW calls these cars Limited M Performance edition cars and they only had about 175 of them available in different series. You could probably build your own but that is besides the point. It was marketed as Limited Edition M Performance edition cars. So the OP is not wrong in quoting BMW.
