Can someone confirm that Ferric Grey is the correct color for the touch up paint?

Thanks!

BTW -> here is the wheels I'm taking about

416 wheels are silver and diamond cut, there is no grey in them!

Finding Wheel Paint Colour (Color)

The quickest (and reliable) way of finding a paint code/colour is by using an on-line OEM parts catalogue - this one seems to work well (I suspect there's others) - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/

Turbine Style 415 color

Hi, all. I bought a 2016 320iX with 18" Turbine Style (415) wheels. The wheels have some scratches, and I want to make sure I get the right paint for them. The dude at the dealer's parts department was pretty much useless, but you guys seem to know what's what.

Which of the various BMW wheel colors do I need?

Thanks!

I did look here, but although I can find my wheels, I don't see the color listed in their description anywhere. (Of course, I might be over-looking it.)

Anything on the INSIDE of the wheel? My wife's 120i sport plus edition coupe has this style of alloy wheel on it and the colour name 'Ferric grey' embossed on the inside of one of the spokes, may be worth a look?

I bought a BMW ORBIT GREY B35M ALLOY WHEEL TOUCH UP PAINT CURB SCRATCH M SPORT PEN NEEDLE by Myldan Auto Design - but it’s way too dark for my alloys.

Description says that my wheels are the 19in BMW LA wheel M star spoke 403s and they are bicolour Obrit Grey diamond-cut. But the touch up pen is considerably darker.

I’ve got a 330i M sport touring F31 2016.

I’ve now ordered: BMW FERRIC GREY II B55 ALLOY WHEEL TOUCH UP PAINT PEN BRUSH - I hope this is closer!?

I’m new to here so don’t know how to upload pics

Hello everyone, newbie here.

I have a 2017 30d Xdrive in Tanzanite blue. Just wondering if you could help me on the colour code for my alloys in ferric grey? Would it be the A80?

Regards

They look like 442 alloys, which usually come with a diamond cut face. So it looks as though they've been refurbished; they could be any colour now.

Agree with your comment. They are definitely not factory finish due to the absence of the diamond cut on the faces of the spokes. It looks to me like they have been powder coated finish on refurbishment.
Unfortunately could be any colour of silver now I'm afraid as has been said above.

If these are the same style alloy wheel this is what they look like originally from the factory.

Apologies for the orientation of the photo but you should get the idea!

Oh dear! 😬 On 2 of the wheels, it looks like the paint has chipped. I'm probably just better off getting them all refurbed!

Looks like you may have to get them refurbished then.
My wife's previous car had diamond cut alloys on which needed doing and a local firm were quite prepared to re-do them diamond cut as they had been originally but was not prepared to warranty them due to how easily they could get stone chipped and the dreaded 'whiteworm' start to show.
He showed my wife a powder coated example from display which I think he referred to as 'sparkling chrome on black' (could be mistaken there mind?).
Anyway she liked the look so we went for them and I have to say the job he did was superb. We had all four done so there would be no difference in colour or shading.
The first pic below is the original factory finish diamond cut one, the second pic is the powder coated finish.
