Nope, that's the strap to hold a bottle of detailer spray for bird poop emergencies. The manual is already in the idrive. I also found out that when you have a check control message, it'll funnel you right to the pertinent page such as low tire pressure.

Except when your battery is dead and there is no idrive and you need to know where to jump start it from. Lol

I don't think I've got one of those (the strap, not the beer bottle), I'll have to go and look now!

In the UK it's a feature of the 'extended storage' option - if you have netting on the seat backs you'll have this too.

The cargo net, cargo strap, and grocery hooks are optional in some countries and completely unavailable in some others. Luckily it's standard for us.

When the engine switches off you can put the car on "P" and remove your foot off the brake pedal and the engine remains off. Then when you want to drive just shift to "D" and the engine starts as usual. It acts like the Auto-Hold, which I found quite helpful especially in long traffic stops.
Works in standard trans a little differently. After the engine switches off when I shift to neutral, if the Key fob is in the front cup holder when I open the door the system shuts down flawlessly. But if the keys are elsewhere, asin my pocket or the frontseat sometimes instead of shutting down it starts beeping that the ignition is on with door open. But the ASS feature itself works very well though.

I find it just struggles to understand. Every time!

Do you know if the voice command audio tracks works with the USB too?
Will try it out tomo if I remember
You can also just flip one of the paddles and the engine will restart, in manual mode of course.

Extended storage in the UK also gets nets on the back of the front seats.

Today i found out that when you stop the car, put it into N, pull the E-brake and press the start/stop button once (so the engine is ready) and try to lock it the car uses the horn twice.

To let you know its in N?

I learned today that if you have Satellite radio, you can rewind a bit (not sure how much) of a song.

I take that back. It does work so long as music is streaming too. I'm using a Nexus 4 running KitKat and the music mutes very nicely to allow the Google Maps voice. I tried it out with Google Now and directions to one of my frequently visited coffee shops
