Just a small rant. I really must trust my BMW main dealer more.

I bought an HSD2 NBT display cable on eBay for €30 over four weeks ago and it hasn't turned up yet.

As I want to install my new NBT, I thought I'd just get a cable from my main dealer thinking it would be €40+....I couldn't have been more wrong if I tried...

€22 including tax.

I'm going to claim a refund from that eBay sellier through PayPal, but in future I think I'll get quotes from BMW direct before going to eBay...

To avoid something like this you can easily check BMW parts & (approx.) prices online by yourself. There are several resources.

22€ for the screen cable is very cheap. In Germany it's 30€ including VAT.

Even for ?30 it's a better deal than the eBay seller.

Of course I'd too prefer to buy it at BMW instead of Ebay

Regardless of item, it amazes me everyday what people will pay for an item when that item is very often cheaper elsewhere with a simple search - both a Buy It Now and Auction items.

I guess people (including me), have fallen into the assumption that "eBay is generally cheaper"....
