Thinking about ditching the front black OEM BMW lip and go with the Varis carbon fiber front lip. Looking to switch things up as I am looking to not have a "common" looking white f30 around here in my city. I think the Varis front lip looks great and give the front end a very aggressive look.

Only tough part will be to remove the old front lip..

Picked up this 2018 340i M Sport rwd from Raleigh, NC in July to replace my Dravit Grey 2020 G20 M340i xDrive I bought locally in Chicago in March. I sold a 2018 Glacier Silver 340i M Sport for the M340i and I was a little concerned when I did it. With the way the car world is going I wanted the 382 hp B58 so badly and the ZF8 that goes with it!! But, I was concerned the G20 would be too much for me. And it was. I’m just too old school BMW for the G20. So, when this F30 that is virtually identically equipped as my previous F30 came up I had to come back. One very important option I had to have was the Executive pkg with the adaptive, full LED headlights and the top, surround view cameras. I hate to admit it, but I really got spoiled to those cameras with my first F30. With the low, vulnerable M Sport bumper they are super useful! Fortunately, I was able to sell the M340i for basically the same price I paid for it four months earlier.

Just as we were about to close the deal the seller’s wife pulled too far forward over a parking block (I’m certain she did not use the cameras ) and tore the front bumper when she backed up. The photo posted sideways. Anyway, he came down on the price and I’m going to have the bumper replaced. It can’t be repaired, because the location of the tear is where the bumper attaches to the fender and multiple body shops agree a bonded repair will eventually fail.

I’m also going to add an M3 lip spoiler to the trunk lid. It’s kind of crazy, but I had the lip spoiler on my 2004 ZHP and that little spoiler was one additional draw for me with the M340i. I thought about getting one for my Glacier Silver F30, but kept talking myself out of it. Well, I’m going to get it for my Alpine White 340i M Sport!!

My previous silver F30 had black leather and it was attractive enough, but it was kind of boring to me. I’ve been a fan of white cars for years and I am absolutely loving the Alpine White with the Cognac leather!! The Alpine White is just so bright and beautiful and it just pops!! My first 340i M Sport had the 19” 704M wheels and I actually prefer the 18” 400Ms and they are also a better choice for the roads in Chicago. So, it turns out I am enjoying this 340i even more than my first one!! And I am pleased to be back in a RWD BMW with a staggered wheel/tire setup with the increased speed limiter.
