Specific 335d X Drive...Oil service.. Help needed on £
Bit of advice please. 15,000 miles and the oil service is required for the 335d x drive. What do you think I should be paying for this?

I had a quote for my 328i n20 from an indie BMW garage which came back at 120 +vat. Rang BMW and they quoted 130 all in. Went with BMW for the oil change as they said there was a recall also that needed to be carried out. Something to do with an oil control valve or something.

1. BMW website - you put in your reg and get a price off there.
2. Phone around dealerships, see who can beat it. 3. Remember that you won't get recalls or TSBs or software updates done if you go independent |

Due to it taking longer than expected (dealer faffing around) to get an appointment with the BMW/ZF expert at my dealer my car mileage went beyond the 62K cutoff limit for the service pack. Service department initially quoted £129 + VAT for 6.5L oil, filter, labour as part of the service.
When I had a chat with the Service Manager, who I have a good relationship with, the full service was paid for under the service pack.

+1.
My car had a software update as part of its recent service and I immediately noticed that the brake pedal is much more consistent in terms of travel, action and feel. This has corrected the intermittent inconsistency that I was feeling with my StopTech front big brake kit. Could be that as part of BMW's recent software tweaks, i.e. adaptive damper timing, they've also identified other areas to improve.

Thats about what I paid for the 1st Service at Sytner Leicester. When I rang round local BMW dealers the price was from £280 to just over £310.
