340i modifications

Ok this forum is brutal! It's converted me from a 335d to placing an order for the 340i and now I'm looking at modifications already!

I already have my eyes on the mppk is there anything I should empty my wallet for?

For me

I won't get the MPPk, instead i would go for Rebellion tuning box (400+ on stock engine), they're very big in the Amg scene.
EBC Yellow pads for the front, change tyre to michelin PSS4s , exhuast system and suspension mods!

You fool!!

That's one of my reasons for buying a derv after modifying all of my last 4 petrol cars. You can't do much to a 35d.

Jeez, if I had all the money I've spent on modifying cars over the years, I'd probably spend it on a car.

Apart from power, suspension (all of it eventually), tyres, exhaust, bodykit and the list goes on....

Having tyres on the list kinda proves my point, yes i've added a few bits to mine it nothing like what you can do to a petrol engine.

Some of the M135i owners are getting crazy power, at a cost of course, and if i bought the 35i engine it'd probably be close to 500bhp by now. Once it all starts....

Thats why i can't by a focus RS or another Jap hot hatch, it'd likely end in divorce!

Have to agree unless you really like the sound. Look at the Surrey rr results. I have a dtuk box but am considering one of these now.

My car hasn't arrived yet, but my list IS LONG

A priority for me will be to get the car to 400+ bhp.

1. MPPSK - ordered and will be installed on delivery of the car
2. M Perf carbon aero package - as above
3. M Perf 405M 20" alloys - as above
4. M Perf alcantara key holder - bought
5. Sonax Profoline ceramic coating for paintwork - bought
6. Deep pile car mats

Currently considering (in no particular order)
1. Carbon mirror covers
2. JB+ or Dinan Sport or Rebellion piggyback - waiting to see which works best with the MPPSK
3. Light smoke 3M wrap of headlights
4. 3M aluminium frozen silver or Grigio Telesto full wrap
5. M Perf pedals
6. M Perf steering wheel (sparkly one)
7. Get rid of the RFT's once I've destroyed the rears

Phew... costly business and probably not worth it!

The sound is as important as the power for me. It adds a sense of occasion which is severely lacking with the stock exhaust for me.

The MPE on my 135i Coupe was the best mod that I did.

This is exactly where I want to be 400+

Debating on mppsk on collection day or just leave it stock until after Christmas

Has anyone had work done by these guys?

www.performance-centre.co.uk

On a 140i they have some impressive figures from the JB4.

"Over 410 bhp and over 630nm of torque!"

My thoughts too. Sorting out the mediocre factory suspension has to be the number one priority.

Rather than chucking all that money at a 340i why not buy an M3 and have done?

I would love to have an M3 but it's going to be my daily driver and for business mileage.

I have got a really competitive deal on a new 340i.

Are you aware of how the JB/Dinan/Rebellion tuning boxes work with the MPPSK? I'm definitely getting the MPPSK in about a month or less but am also planning on getting a remap sometime after that. I haven't seen any info on gains post-MPPSK as most tuning companies are advertising gains from stock.
