ACS springs getting fitted tomorrow - now fitted!!!

Will update my views tomorrow.

Will also capture some before and after shots (as long as the rain stops!).

Wife thinks the car is going in for a safety recall check.....doubt she will notice any difference! If she does, I may be looking for a good divorce lawyer!

Congrats, you will wonder why you hadn't done it sooner!

P.S. i love the undercover nature of your modification!

We've had cars arrive here with one exhaust pipe and leave with four and the OH's still haven't noticed so you should be safe with springs...

Thought you had bought the set in the classified section. Maybe not.

Car dropped this morning. When my quote was questioned and told it should be another £300. Told them I agreed figure and that was that!

Plan to collect the car later!!

Well, that's them on! Seems to have dropped the car by between 2.5 to 3cm. Visually car looks the same (attached picture is after - the before / after comparison is minimal).

Only driven car short distance home.

Summary of views so far...car feels far more composed, barge like feel has gone, braking is smoother, power seems to come through quicker as the car feels far more connected to the road and steering feels far less vague. You really feel a difference going round roundabouts!

No adverse impact on ride quality - but I do feel that I am sitting lower - probably just psychological!

Happy so far - I did the change purely for road handling so glad it doesnt look like some boy racers car.

Will update once the car settles and I try it out more.

Excellent - can you PM me the fitted price. I bought my car from Douglas Park (Hamilton) so will see whether they will match the deal - albeit I see you got some pushback!

Good update! Interesting you say visually the car looks the same, in my opinion 25-30mm is a decent drop and yours seems to have lost the typical tractor ride height...

I'm determined to fit ACS springs to my 320d x-drive just to make it the same height as the s-drive models - that would be enough for me!

I have you been out to the shops - drive long way home!

I'm seeing a big improvement in ride quality and feel the power is coming through a lot quicker.

Go on....you know you want to do it!!!!!

The car will settle no doubt. But drop doesn't look that bad at all. Glad you are happy with the results. I will be getting a set installed once I get a set. Unfortunately I missed out on a set recently. But in no rush

How much are a set of these ACS springs and is the handling really so bad on the xdrive without changing springs? Curious as I'm chewing over getting a 335d at the minute instead of an M Sport 330d.
