What a disappointment. I wasted the best part of a minute waiting for you to blip the throttle. :-)

That's how they used to sound - the MPE on my 135i was as loud as that... not sure why they do all this valve closed rubbish, ruins a cold start!!!

Anyone else notice you can see the reflection of the valves closing on the right pipe starting at 54s.

Yeah, sounds ok

Edit: it's not that is it!?!?! It's something though. I'm seeing things...

Don't have mppk but valve was unplugged on mine 1 week after she was home. Cold starts whilst not so loud this time of year still make me grin, as does reverse parking in an enclosed space so you get a nice sound reflection. Always necessitates a quick blip..

Didn't fancy giving it a blip as the engine was stone cold having been sat all day. TBH a blip doesn't sound any different to previous attempts, it's only the cold start that sounds daft.

That's a lovely sound.

Had a go in Mrs i40i earlier in sport mode - that sounds good popping away like a god un.

Almost makes my 335xd sound agricultural

Sounds amazing. Going to be getting the MPPSK in a month I hope so curious what "unplugging the valves" is? Is it just that wire you disconnect on the left tailpipe after driving in sport for a while?

If you turn the engine off in sport mode, the valves stay open. Usually, when you press the start button, the valves close before the engine fires up. If you unplug the valves while the engine is off, there's no way for the car to close them before the engine starts.

Unplugged the valve on my standard exhaust, sounds louder on initial start up and during low speed driving. As others have said previously also has the advantage of steam out of both pipes plus they tend to get as dirty as each other, previously the right would go black and the left stay clean. The valve is pretty active as standard and opens/closes a lot during normal driving, even in sport mode from what I remember.

Any pics of where to unplug the valve? Thanks
