This can be coded in very easlily, when fob removed, but should have been a standard feature anyways.

it does unlock i believe... you just have to pull the door lever twice... well one and a half to be exact. first unlocks and second opens.

We know that, reference was to coding in the feature without pulling anything twice, re-read the post.

Here's mine:

Bring back the traditional BMW gauge cluster with gas gauge on the left and temp gauge on the right.

Make the auto HVAC optional and bring back the three-lever system from the E30

Move the cruise control lever back to the right side of the wheel and go back to the E30/E36 control: forward = set/speedup; backward = slowdown; up = resume; down = off.

Develop a deer-collison avoidance system similar to the pedrestrian collision-avoidance system.

Yes the diesels have the dipstick in them, but the 328i and 335i do not have the dipstick.

Definitely a few good points (and some dumb ones) in this thread, so screw it, I'll chime in, in case someone at BMW is listening.

0.) iPod hookup standard. There is no reason to not have this. The optional connector is nice, but $400!?! What is that, about a 2000% markup? More?
1.) Optional ventilated seats. In Houston, this would be a godsend. Do this.
2.) An optional HUD would be amazing.
3.) BMW Performance parts as factory options? Do you have ANY IDEA how many upgraded parts you could be selling? SSKs, exhausts, etc..
4.) See #3 again. Why is there ONE choice of upgraded 19" wheel for my 335i m-sport. You guys make about 10. I would have killed for 269s or 313s on my new car. Come on.
5.) Stop subsidizing automatic transmissions in the sticker price. That's bullshit. 6MT owners get to pay a $1000 premium and get NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING in return. That is an absolutely terrible practice.
6.) Stop linking together upgraded HK sound option with the premium package. Lots of people want upgraded speakers, and it does NOT require $2500 of mostly useless options.
7.) Hard plastics need improvement. The "chrome" trim goes to crap after a year. I'm sure you guys are on top of this one.

The 3-series is a fantastic car, and the leader of the class. However, BMW is making some decisions for greed, and some that pander to the mass market.. someone needs to put a leash on the beancounters over there before they ruin the brand.

The base radio is probably designed to sound as bad as reasonably possible to get you to upgrade to the $1000 stereo.

No one has mentioned that it would be great to have the side airbags back in the doors and not the seats so that aftermarket seats would be easy to install.

There was a mandatory delay of at least one second between both button pushes to prevent accidental activation.
That's what I thought when I had my E92, but I will confess to having very occasionally confused it with the indicator stalk.
Going by your comments on button systems, it would appear that you haven't tried the newer BMW version. The steering wheel button system on my F10 is, in my opinion, just about as good as it gets and I can assure you that there is absolutely no delay whatsoever. You just arm the system with a press on the bottom button when you start off and thereafter a quick up flick on the speed adjust tab instantly activates the cruise at that particular point.

Wait, what? You should have fold-down rear seats. Did you not find the handles in the trunk? Also the cup holders are great lol

Only Coupes (in the US at least) come standard with fold down seats.
Sedans do not come standard with fold down seats, it is a 475 dollar option or a part of the cold weather package.

And no the cup holders do suck... My friend was driving my car in Europe, and we had 2 bottles of coke in the two front seat cupholders and he accelerated to go around a car, and lo and behold BOTH bottles come flying at my head because it couldn't stay in the holder.... Thankfully they were both sealed, and I was dry, but it was a reminder that the cup holders suck... Both of us knew about the cupholder situation and laughed about it afterwards. It's ok, I knew about it ahead of time, and just something to adjust to.

WOW that is ridiculous about the fold down seats. There is no excuse for that not being standard. As for the cupholders, given they are not very deep but i've never had a problem with them and bonus, they hold a red bull can perfectly.

My wish for F32 3 Coupe is BMW offers M package initially. When new 3 Coupe will be released, it will be really hard to wait another half year for M package to be available..
