DO NOT ask where I got this from, as I have no comment on that.

KOMBI = Instrument Cluster. You have one, but you do not have an M-Instrument Cluster, which is needed for M-HUD.

Oh yes, cos the HUD takes the signal feed from the cluster.

Hey Dos1973, I would like this too please! I am in the same situation as protocolor. I have the same set-up, BN2010 combox media in the trunk, I have taken a look at your previous posts, so thanks for that! Sounds like you have the right fix!

Many thanks!

For safety u should code it cos I think it changes the settings for ABS & DSC.
right, the M performance brake kit come with a note and stated "A DSC retrofit encoding must be performed via ISTA/P after installation of the BMW M Performance sports brake system."

They are coded identically but one's already coded from factory (former case) & the latter at time of retrofit.
i'm confusing on this, the size of front brake caliper/rotor are different between M sport brake and M performance brake.

so add the VO code "2NH" will do the same thing as add the K-words "SPBR"?

No, for F30, M-sport brake & M-performance brake are identical except for the caliper colours & slotted discs (purely cosmetic). Not sure abt F20, u'd better check the ETK to confirm part details.
For F30 2NH should be the same as SPBR, but wht either entry codes exactly I do not know.

Yes, at least until you do an F30 M3 KOMBI retrofit.

I believe the M performance brakes are bigger. I think you need 18inch wheels with those. With the M Sport brakes you only need 17inch. Am I right??

If you don't know for sure, and I don't, your best bet is to VO Code the whole SVT.

You can try and obtain the official "M performance brake kit Retrofit" bulletin, and see if it states in it which modules need coding.

Well, I am sure the iDrive BMW Logo is an image file stored on the CIC Hard Drive.

So, here is what you need to do. Telnet into the Head Unit, crack the login password, and then use the QNX Developer Software Kit to access the file structure. From there, you can write your own image file of the same size and name to the Hard Drive, replacing the existing one.

Post pictures when your are done.

Coding does not brick modules. Flashing new Firmware when it goes wrong bricks modules.

If you mess up a module coding it, just VO Code it to reset it.
