Help to cure a scratch
So it looks like a license plate (without cover) gave me car a nice kiss (scratch) right on the bottom of my car's glute. Does anyone know the best affordable option of covering/concealing/repairing the white paint that has about little under an inch of a blemish

Wow!
Unfortunately that's "in the bone" as Ace Ventura says. The cheapest thing for it is you use touch up paint to fill in the scatch. Otherwise it's a repaint, I'm afraid. |

Langka.com
I have tried dr.colorchip before and it works great on rock chips but not as well on scratches. I have been told the Langka system gets good results on scratches. Your scratch looks like it may need some sanding...some rough edges. Maybe try a local paint shop and see what they can do? I have seen some paint guys do small sand/paint repairs for cheap and with good results. |

I used Scratch Wizard on a deep chip/scratch on my trunk. I liked that it used a putty to fill in the scratch (so that it's level with the rest of the paint) and then had paint applied on top of it. I'll try to throw before/after pics up tonight.

Here's the pics of my scratch and slight dent on my hatch and the scratch wizard repair:
Scratch: After repair (up close): After repair (the next day was raining): After repair (freshly washed car): Overall, it's not really noticeable unless you're looking for it. I think the slight dent in the hatch gives it away more than the actual repair itself. |

Was wondering if I could fix my own scratches that I got from someone not knowing I could park. I ordered some BMW touch up paint, with the clear coat, but since there's still cracks, it's probably something that would require more sanding and I don't think my paint is enough.

Cracks like that require sanding the paint off completely where it's cracked and rebuilding the finish. They could even require repair of the bumper if it's cracked as well. In that case a pro would use this or something similar:
