Navi_nbt_enable

Can someone check their value of NAVI_NBT_ENABLE on the KOMBI ECU, Under - 3000 Anzeige_Konfiguration, 32.

I have: nbt_anzeige and I think I should have klien_nbt.

Would just like to doubt check if someone could please ?

Requirements:
F30
NBT Navi

The other option is "kein_nbt" (no NBT) not "klien_nbt".

I believe the navigation directions show up differently on the kombi if you have NBT. I've bad both CIC and NBT in my car but I never FDL coded this option but I think since I VO coded it with 07/13, it automatically would enable this.

So on klien_nbt it shows what? I had nice arrow views (3D like you get with TOM TOMs or Garmins) in my arrow split screen but I changed something now I get the normal 2D arrows in my split screen.

Can you take a picture when you have a chance? I'm curious to see if it's what it looks like on mine with NBT installed.

If I ever get it working for sure and I will post it shows 3D exit ramps.

Well, now that my car is returned to its factory condition, I managed to do a comparison of how how the KOMBI behaves with CIC and NBT installed.

At first, we thought that the directional arrows show up differently because I VO coded my KOMBI with a build date of 07/13.

Yesterday, I VO coded my KOMBI to 07/13 with CIC installed and the directional arrow show up just like they did before I retrofitted NBT. Now we know for sure that the KOMBI gets the arrow displays directly from the head unit.

It seems like the NBT directional arrows will show both traffic lanes whereas CIC will only a left or right arrow.

My F10 with CIC and 6WB Cluster shows both Traffic Lanes (Bottom Picture), so this is not an NBT thing.

I noticed that the 6WB cluster shows the grey outlined arrows. Not sure why. When you set iDrive to go on split screen and you set the split screen content to arrow display, do you see the same thing on both the KOMBI and the Nav Screen?

It's strange though how my KOMBI is VO coded to 07/13 and it still behaves different with CIC and NBT. Perhaps it could be that my CIC is on 48.2 and my NBT is on 50.4?

It could be the older CIC firmware level, or even just some FDL Code in CIC is not set as needed.

It depends on the street / intersection too. Sometimes it displays both traffic lanes, and sometimes it does not.

As for the Split view, I see the same thing, except when there is an On or Off ramp as shown below, which the side view display is more graphic:

Interesting. You still have the arrows outlined in red on your 6WB.

I'm going to try and see if I can get the same left turn shot for Steeles Avenue with CIC and see if the graphics are indeed different.

I bet it will look like your original bottom picture with both traffic lanes, but in Red Outline.

Man I hate the fact the F30 doesn't come with a full digital Tacho like the F10. I have asked someone very close to the build phase (works in engineering at BMW AG for the F30) and the face lift is going to be lights, bumpers but no interior upgrade..

I still don't understand why 6WB has been available in Europe F10 for almost 3 years now, and it is still not available in U.S. F10. Nor why you can order 6WA (or 6WB) in Europe as a standalone option, but in the U.S. you must order HUD to get 6WA.

Totally agree, I know that a full digital screen for the Kombi for a F30 doesn't exist at all.

And I am 100% sure that the F10 Kombi wont fit into the F30 either.

Looks like I finally figured out how it works.

When I got my car back from the dealer and reinstalled my NBT, I didn't end up VO coding KOMBI and the navigation arrows were completely distorted and wouldn't show up properly. I just saw a red blob and the street names were not even showing up with the correct margins. That's when I saw that NAVI_NBT_ENABLE was set to KEIN_NBT.

When I VO coded KOMBI with the 07/13 build date, this was changed to NBT_ANZEIGE and the arrows and street names were showing up correctly.

It seems like the directional arrows are actually snap shots of the intersection on the actual map.

Picture 1 shows Steeles Avenue from my NBT
Picture 2 shows that exact intersection on my KOMBI

I think CIC also does the same thing but since these are two different systems, the graphics used to draw the streets are different so that's why they show up differently on The kombi/HUD when you have NBT over CIC.
