F32 HRe p40 or VMR v701 opinions
I got my 2014 428i sportline this year. The first thing i needed was a M performance exhaust. Sounds great, and it's been enough for me so far (Not sure for how much longer though). Msport steering wheel came next. Definately worth the money. And of course, now comes H&R sport spring and rims/tires.
I've been on a quest for rims. Initially, I was really into the V701 and V721. So I got a set of V701 with 235/35/19 et35 offset and 8.5 all around. I got BMS 13mm spacers in the front and 15mm in the back. Fitment was perfect to me. The tires however were not meaty enough. So i got 235/40/19 and i felt that was perfect. Especially after a H&R sport drop. I thought it looked really good, and they sat nice and flush with the spacers. I was happy for a month. Then, I started thinking about 20's. I know alot of people who disagree with 20's, but after seeing HRe p40's, I knew they would look good in 20's. So I did that too. I got a set with staggered 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. Offsets are about 32 front and 40 rear. So i couldnt run the BMS spacers with them, as they poked and it just didn't look right to me. So the fitment isn't as flush as the v701's but it's still quite nice. I wasn't sure about colour, but I think it looks surprising good with the satin bronze. So now I want some opinions? 19's v701 or 20's p40? |

Both are super dope but the HRE's are on another level of $$$ and steez. I run VMR so nothing against them at all, but if you can swing the HRE's I'd get em.
Or snag the VMRs cause they are dope as well and save the money for performance mods |

Of the two only, I prefer the upside down ones. I think they are the 20s?

Paint the VMR bronze, or white and you can sell the HREs. Fitment is much nicer with the 19s.

I’m not feeling the bronze/grey combo at all (I don’t like the OEM wheels on the M4 GTS either), but if I were in OP’s shoes I’d sell the HREs and put the money toward an M Sport body kit.
