Where did you get that dual grille with the M logo?
Maybe just an OEM M4 grill

You can get the aftermarket M badge that retrofits to the dual slat grills on eBay. Otherwise guys are buying the oem m badge from the dealer and making their own hardware to fasten it to the grills.

Yes, OEM F82/M4 grill. Heat gun, dental floss and re-position "M"...done.

No need to "fabricate" or "jerry rig" anything aftermarket...just purchase the OEM one and be done with it. By the time you're done trying to make it work and/or look OEM, you could've had the real thing...

You are definitely overthinking it. 19s will set it off but it's not like it looks like it's missing something. if anything lowering and spacers will do more than just wheels.

I went for a stock M performance grill. However I also bought an eBay twin version - seems to be good quality but haven’t fitted it yet.

You can never go wrong with the standard all black M grills. IMO I have just always found the look of the dual slat tricky depending on what car they go on.

Your absolutely right. I found the dual slats really cheap so was just curious.

I am against making the F32 look like an M4. BMW created M performance parts for the F32 to make it an M car in its own right. To make into into a wannabe M4 is not my thing. Same goes for the rear spoiler as tempting as it was to try the M4 style I went for the F32 dedicated version.

Yeah I share the exact same point of review, I prefer to keep as much as possible to "factory" spec. Unfortunately the factory look wasn't feeling as aggressive as I wanted so I went for the F80 kidney grills and trunk spoiler..

I use to think the same but now that BMW jumped on the gloss black grill trend enthusiasts did its not a nice identifier of an enthusiast anymore. Going with the dual slat distinguishes that better i feel.
..Lol

Agreed.. altho single slat chrome on alpine white still looks good

I think which slat depends heavily on the car, if you have M-sport package, double slat will look good, but on normal models, I think it looks overkill. As such, single slat is my preference, because I just have a normal F32 without the M-sport body. I prefer this look actually as every one and their mother has a M-sport body now a days, non M sport like mine is a rare sight:

idk, I have the basiest base model out there, even rocking halogens, and I think dual slat works. Dual slat is more distinguishing than single slat. There are things that should be left to ///M's, like bumpers and badges, but I think dual slat is acceptable on non-///M's.

Fair enough... and agreed, they are no where near as tacky or sacrilegious as M badging. I do think they look good on dark colored cars where they kind of blend in a bit but honestly not a fan on lighter colored cars where they stand right out. I debated this in my mind for a long while before purchasing lol. Everyone has their own opinions obviously... another concern was the strength/durability/rigidity of the thinner slats vs thicker.

Also... I recently stumbled across 11 slat (single) grilles and have been wondering what they would look like on an F30.

It all looks the same, this isn't like going from a regular Mercedes grill to diamond grill.

Exactly. I wasn't going to get black grilles until i ran into the badgless dual slat. The factory black grille doesn't look good to me, and hasn't for several generations. I'm more of a mesh/hex pattern guy myself, so dual slat helps create more substance in the grille area. As ignorant as it sounds, I actually thought it was just another F30 aftermarket option that I had stumbled across and only later found out that it's an ///M-styling thing.

But like everything, it's simply personal preference.
