Estimated Week of Production Jan 2nd?
So few questions, got my production number yesterday for my 340i, called the 1-800 and they told me the estimated date of production is the second week of Jan.... This would be Production WEEK 2 right?
Is it so far out because Production takes a break in December? Also, going under the assumption my rate lock is for 60-days, and it should be locked from the end of this period so Jan 4th + 60 Days = March 4th, my car *should* be here by then right?? Should I be concerned at all talking to my CA to see if he can bump up the day or change me to another slot? Thanks!! Last edited by kromix; 12-10-2015 at 11:11 AM.. |

Second week of Jan would be Jan 11th. If it goes into production around that time, expect to have your car about a month after that date, so mid February. You are locked in for Dec, Jan, and Feb Rates. I ordered my car last year in January and it arrived in April. But m3's had some production delays. Also, February and March had some of the best rates, I got a 66% residual

I've ordered a car before, so I know the whole process, what I was worried about was not received my car before March 4th, which is when my December locked rates expire.... Does BMWFS take into account delays? Don't want to take delivery March 7th and lose Dec Rates |

I wouldn't worry about it, chances are rates will stay the same or get better.

No, you need the VIN, once you get it use http://bimmer.work/
Type in the last 7 digits of your VIN and it'll tell you where your car is being produced as well as a bunch of other info like when your car completes production (it'll show 0001-01-01 until production completes) and all the options for your car. |

I'd think it will bump up once in goes into customer sold status. I ordered my car Oct 6 and original production date was Nov....once it went to customer sold it went into production the next day on Oct 7....
