I think both teams would field their second stringers and we will watch a drab and boring kickabout. Few fouls. Few cards. Nobody trying to hurt each other.

Real civil like.

Thanks. I'm going to start watching some of the games since Directv is kind enough to broadcast the channel. I never really followed soccer but there must be something to it. The fans are crazy. I was living in Amsterdam when the Netherlands (Ajax) won the European Cup in the mid 90s and the city went crazy. I was lucky enough to be in 2009 Barcelona the night they won the European Cup. Party all night. Great memories.

I was in Germany when they hosted the World Cup. Being in a stadium of almost 100,000 people game me a rush I couldn't match at any other sporting event.

You've never been to a college football game in one of these stadiums I take it....

That was just about the craziest ending to a game I have ever seen.

I've never seen a more one sided game yet in this tournament and Croatia was so comfortable.

i hope the guy that threw the flairs gets caught.

Today we saw Belgium like it was another and better team..
They actually played well , but still I saw their game was a little too slow .
It was a 3-0 win for Belgium against Ireland , so (for the moment) they are playing pretty good .
I said for the moment !
Looking forward for the game against Sweden ...

I couldn't have been more happy to see Crynaldo miss that PK! So many other misses as well. Who's he going to blame now?

I was in a sports bar for that game and I jumped and yelled out NO when he did that! Lol. I mean nobody deserves to hit a post on a penalty shot in an event like this. Not even him. But damn. Undressed the goal keeper.... Couldn't get around a determined goal post. I mean that was Łber embarrassing! Lol

I still believe Portugal will get to the next round. But I never thought they would make it so hard for themselves.

I hear good things about Argentina and the USA. But really I'm clueless as to what's going on. Feel free to keep us all up to speed with the copa thing.

Argentina definitely came to play and seems all their players are on form.

It was in Spanish closed-caption, while I was drinking a Negra Modelo, but I could have sworn I saw that Messi wasn't going to play because he was tired???

A half-asleep Messi would still light up a stadium.

Really hopeful that Croatia ties Spain today.

They will be missing Modric, hard to see how they can get a result particularly if their fans are allowed into the stadium.

Couldn't agree more. Would love to see him light up the USA with a hat trick, even if we get our asses kicked.
