DINANTRONICS Elite For the BMW F2x 230i, F3x 330i, F3x 430i

A 4 cylinder turbo has never been as much fun as the current B46/B48 BMW's. With power coming on strongly and predictably the stock car is a pleasure to take on long trips or rip on in the canyons alike. Even though it is fun there can always be more. That's why Dinan is now introducing the DINANTRONICS Elite system to the fold capable of unleashing more tire burning fury on our already beleaguered roadways. Much to your, and our, enjoyment.

With a substantial bump in torque down low of over 60 lb-ft of torque the 'seat of your pants' will surely approve. Coupled with a consistent 20-30 HP increase over the entire power band the DINANTRONICS system is a power solution you will enjoy day after day. The tuner utilizes a myriad of inputs to achieve the increase in power but more importantly uses these extra inputs to deliver the smoothest factory-like experience possible just as you would expect from any Dinan tuning product. Unadulterated enjoyment is a DINANTRONICS module away.

DINANTRONICS Sport For the BMW B46/B48 Engines

These last few weeks have seen a multitude of B48 equipped BMW's run through our R&D center in Morgan Hill and in that time we have had the opportunity to do a lot of testing on the various tunes for the platform. As was somewhat expected with the Sport tune, the existing B58 variant also is a plug-and-play solution for the smaller displacement motors of the 'B' engine family; the B46/B48. Producing some impressive torque gains down low the Sport units are sure to make your 230i/330i/430i a different beast off the line.

Part Number: D440-0047
Applications: 2017 F22 230i Coupe, 2017 F23 230i Convertible, 2017 F30 330i Sedan, 2017 F31 330i Wagon, 2017 F34 330i GT, 2017 F32 430i Coupe, 2017 F33 430i Convertible, 2017 F36 430i Gran Coupe, 2017 G30 530i Sedan

Regardless of what setting is chosen there is a power level for everyone. Also within the app the end user has access to a live boost monitor which streams boost data in real time to the phone very similar in appearance to the sport gauges on the iDrive. Not only will you be able to feel the difference but now you can see it as well!

These particular SKUs would not. Different sensor connectors between BMW and MINI (Except the X1 28i which uses the same MINI transverse motor). We do have a MINI SPORT tune that applies to the countryman though. The Elite variant is in testing and will be out in the near future as well.

Both would work on a SULEV vehicle. SULEV is the B46 engine. Every BMW x30i in the US is a B46(SULEV) motor. The B48 is a Euro version of the motor essentially. Just like the N20/N26 the SULEV vehicle has a slightly different EVAP system and a more restrictive CAT so it negates a bit of the top end power you would see on the B48 with a less restrictive CAT.

aside from the tune, would it be a good idea to replace b46/SULEV CAT with the CAT from a b48 motor?

not sure about the swap, since the power output is identical on b48 and b46, say Countryman f60 jcw = x1 f48. (228 hp / 258 lbft) although they have different engines.

thanks

It has been a year since I got it (330i Sport Mexican Version), works as described, and you can immediately feel the extra power. The app (from apps store) let's you bypass the dinantronics if you want to. Honestly a good bang for the buck ($1300 total cost with the install).

Or click and the link and see that they are selling it for $500 cheaper than they did for N20/N26.

DINAN why is x28i tune more money? N20/N26 are soon to be out of warranty anyway. Would be great to drop the prices on those stage 1 tunes..

Short answer is the new stage 1's are cheaper to make. The older style DINANTRONICS utilize a MUCH more elaborate and expensive harness compared to the new ones.

As far as warranty/price dropping goes if history is any indication you will not see a price drop until the last of those models (MY 2016) is outside of the warranty period (aka 2020/2021).

Thanks. And yes, the new one does look different and a bit less complex.
Now that different tuners have unlocked DME and are tuning via flash....will we see that from DINAN in the future?

I don't foresee us going BACK to F chassis cars for OBD2 flashing just because its too hard for us manpower wise to accomplish with how diverse our product offerings are. We always need to be moving forward or else we are so far behind the eight ball. I suppose its not totally out the question albeit unlikely though.

However, DME8 & MG1 applications (G series chassis and 2017+ reboots essentially such as x30i and x40i vehicles) we are actively pursuing getting back into the flashing arena and cracking the protocols as in the past. It should be noted that the current DINANTRONICS would still be a product line going forward as well if we are able to get back into flashing as the products would be offered side by side. 2 different markets so we might as well cater to both is the idea.

Ok thanks for all the info.
I think your new full stage 1 pricing is definitely an advantage for newer BMW owners, happy for them. Me not so much
$1100 for a full blown DINAN stage 1 with warranty actually sounds like a reasonable deal. If I was buying a new BMW and the dealer offered to add that onto my price id do it for sure!

Its planned but the CAI that it would be built around will be based off the B58 variant which has not been released yet (they are essentially the same unit with smaller piping on the 4 cylinder motors).
