Need help coding lights

I'm trying to code out the headlight error codes so I can install LED's but I keep getting an error message when I get as far as trying to read coding data in CAFD tab under FEM Body folder. Any ideas where i'm going wrong?

Not sure what you mean by you're trying to clear the error codes, that is done with Tool32?

If you mean you want to code out the low temp check then that's a different story.

That error means you have a corrupted CAFD file probably due to losing power to car whilst coding, it is advisable to code the car with the car running (other than the DEM).

You need to reinject the old CAFD file.

I believe anyway?

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on desired ECU => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown => Select OK => Right-Click on FEM BODY ECU (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

I think that's what i've done, i didn't have the engine running and as i'm new to coding i kept referring back to the guides, so I wasn't exactly quick.
Will keep the engine on in future.

Thanks.

It's not about drawing power from the battery.

There are two options. You can just leave the car on and code but if the car turns itself off (after ten minutes or whatever it is) and you haven't finished then you will have issues with the CAFD files getting corrupted. This is easy to fix if it does happen though.

The other way is to just leave the car running and you will not have this issue, simples.
