Have not Named Her Yet...

It was time to get rid of my Touareg TDI, before VW made any more lovely announcements that would further erode my not so great resale value.

Ordered 2016 328d end of September, picked up today...

Z52 M Sport Line
Z4D Premium Package Enhanced
Z4U Executive Package
Z7W M Performance Package
3AA Black Roof Rails
4WG Aluminum Hexagon Trim
522 Active Headlights
5DF Active Cruise Control
5DP Parking Assistant
6NS Smartphone Connectivity Package

So far, really like it!

The difference between eco-pro and Sport Plus is a huge range and makes this car a chameleon, I love it! The steering feels great in Sport Plus mode, beautifully weighted, I have not really pushed anything, but still feels better than I thought it would.

Love the adaptive cruise control. I have never had it before, sounded cool, and in use it makes highway driving far more relaxing / less annoying.

Mainly kept off the highway to vary speed during break in.

Overall, it is quite a bit more comfortable than I anticipated, some have mentioned excessive wind noise, I fount the cabin to be very quiet at speed (100+ km/h). I kept things in eco-pro mode most of the time as it was snowing off an on.

Some have complained about the start-stop feature, while not as transparent as the system in Porsches, it is pretty good, and I don't mind it at all.

Just tried out the Parking Assistant, I don't know how much I will use that, brought the wheels a little close (less than an inch) to the curb for my comfort level.

iDrive is sure way faster!

The white is super practical, still think that Estoril is the best color for this car.

I am slightly disappointed in the interior materials, but you can't have everything.

I leased, so I am debating if I want to do springs to remedy those arch gaps, and maybe add some spacers.

Nameless but beautiful!

Can't go wrong with the Alpine White! Just wait a few more days and you will probably code Auto-Start-Stop off as fast as you can say BMW

What interior trim did you get?

Thanks Bols!

You are right on the White!

I got the aluminum and 'matt blau' trim.

I was hoping for a texture, and I thought that the trim was aluminum colored plastic. Upon closer examination, it appears to be a very thin aluminum veneer with printing to simulate a texture.

I really like the blue, looks really nice.

I have the start stop in my Porsche, I like it in that car and I like it in the F31. The motor is kind of loud at idle, and I enjoy the quiet. It's a diesel, so it's not like I'm doing brake stands, or using launch control or anything. ;-)

Congrats! Looks like you actually built yours. Mine was already on the lot so I couldn't get all the options I wanted. Parking Assistant would've been nice since it's only $500.

Yes, I did, I got everything except for the headlight squirters (washer waster) and the $350 mesh nets on the backs of the seats as that was a little over to the top for BMW, ironically a similar feature is a $0 option in Porsches, as is the smoking package. Most people order the smoking package to avoid the hole in the dash that is there if you don't. It's kind of like I have pretty much everything, might as well go Sly Fox on the rest!

The parking assistant is a fun party trick, although the first time I used it it got too close to the curb, and I can parallel park just fine, so I doubt I will use it. The level of interaction required and the amount of anxiety it causes by maybe curbing your wheels, unless you learned to drive in California (my wife would park a mile away so she could stall park, as she was incapable of parallel parking, I have the body shop receipts) you are not missing much.

My aversion to switch blanks employs 2 German people a year. It's my way of giving back, some people adopt children from Africa for only Pennies a day, I get dynamic cruise control and feed a German family for a month!
