debadging
can someone confirm if debadgiing is easy with the 335? i know with the lexus there are holes behind the emblems just asking if i will run into that issue with this car?
so I'm thinking of taking off X drive, 335ix....and leaving the bmw in the middle.... |

That will be my first mod. e90 did not have holes in the body, I am assuming f30 will be the same. Just warm it up with a hair dryer, and slide some floss underneath it to get it loose.

Option 320 in the US. Been discussed on the forum a couple times but it seems some CAs don't know about it or dont care to. But some on here, including myself have ordered US spec car with that option.

Double sided tape eating into clear coat
Hi.
On the issue of rebadging.... My salesman offered to have my new 328i debadged for me but then called me and said I shouldn't do it. Said their detail guy told him BMW is using a new double sided tape on the F30's that etches into the clear coat, leaving an impression that can not be buffed out. Anyone else heard anything about this? I really wanted to remove everything except the rounded but now I'm paranoid. |

Debadged mine... No holes, no etching... Thats a bunch of BS... Use floss (it doesnt just peel up)... It will leave a bit of stickyness behind... peel up what u can with ur finger and then use a solvent to remove the rest... After mine was clean I washed the area well and waxed just to be sure it didnt leave a mark...

And back on the original topic, when I removed my 328i badge there's zero evidence on the paint of it every being there. I used dental floss to remove the badge initially, then some orange goo-gone stuff to remove the remaining adhesive. |
