2017 f31 Dinan Stage 1

Did the Dinan stage 1 upgrade. Prior to upgrading went into settings to show hp and torque. Not sure how accurate this is. Did 0-60 and 0-80. Best I could come up with for hp and tq were 240 and 240. Upgraded to stage 1. Felt a little sluggish. So did test again. Now all I can get is 180hp and 200tq off of display settings from car. Any ideas? I am sure display settings are not truly accurate but to go down after upgrade???

The display is not accurate. Not something I would pay attention to.

Best bet is to get a VBOX to do timed runs.. or dyno with and without tune to get idea of real world gains.

Good info Mike. Will do and thank you. Was not expecting much but was expecting a little. Got it mainly for a little bit more hp/tq when going to mountains and cabin...

How’s the butt dyno? Have you noticed any significant improvement?

Interested in hearing more about the results on the Dinan tune. I don't have a clear 3 days to dyno it stock, install tune and drive around for butt dyno, then dyno again to see if there is any real improvements.

Why three days? Because that's the miserly return guarantee that you get with the Dinan kit.

It should be 7 days if they believe in their product TBH, but that's a different thread.

The "butt" feel. I really dont notice much change if any at all...just my opinion. When I drive my car and get on it...then I go over to our 330i sedan same year and options...feels the same...this is just my opinion

It seems to be worthwhile on the N20 engines but meh on the b48s

Think I'll do big brake upgrade and non RFT rubber first
