The F series 328i has a N20B20 engine - 2 liter 4 cylinder turbo charged. The N52 is a 6 cylinder from the older E9X series
It it's a 2016 model then it can't be a 328i - it should be a 330i then as the facelift with newer motors was in 2015 for the 3 series |

NA has a weird way with their model year. A 2016 MY is a car that can usually be bought from mid-2015 to around mid-2016. So his 2016 328i could actually be a car bought in 2015. Unlike the ROW where the model year usual corresponds to the year.

N20 was available for F30 through model years 2017 and 2018 (USA).

Where is the ROW? And my car is a 2016 320i xDrive that has the N20, so we did have a couple x20i and x28i before 2017, or whenever x30i's started production.
