How do you like those Gray seats. I thought about going this route to avoid the red stitching. IS the steering wheel still red or also black?

I wonder if the luxury model is more my speed. I just would hate to think i wouldnt have a sport suspension and sport seats.

Most people who have seen my car in person commented that they were not sold on the F30 front end until they saw it with the M-Sport bumper.
I admit if the sportline didnt exisit, m sport or whatever bmw made would be my only option.

I am a little worried though M sport is just more geared towards M drivers who want a more reasonable engine and car than a true M. So a more robust supsension, more robust looking body work. Just not sure if it speaks to me as much as that nice sportline look. But the interior of the M Sport with Burl is so rich looking. Almost too good to pass up!

How much power bump is there with the chip mod I've been hearing about? And does that void the warranty?

I don't think we'll ever see a 340i.

BMW likes to reserve the x40i designation for the higher-end cars like the 6er and 7er.

Definitely sold on the M Sport; the entire exterior, the steering wheel, burl dash and wheels are outstanding to me.

Was leaning toward the Sport Line but couldn't get past the interior highlights and the whiskers.

In a perfect world I would have a F30 with a sport pack, burled wood interior. Basically what the 2011 model offered. I would have not gone M sport on a 2011 as I tend to like the design that BMW initiates when they launch the car.

BUT... my problem is. I can't get past the red stitching on the black leather and lack of burl wood trim on the sportline. BUT. I prefer the look of the bumpers and interior on sportline. I think the M sport is nice though. Maybe I could learn to love it as much as the sportlne exterior.

So has another found a way to order black seats without red trim or burl wood on a sportline. Does this really point me in the direction of the M sport.

I've built the models many time online and I am still left not knowing with route to take. Any advice would be appreciated...
It was too tough for me too;( but finally color choice helped!

I did M-Sport with wood trim. No regents at all (and I am actually very happy that I did not get a sport line, I would have been just settling for what they had instead of getting what I wanted, who wants to custom order a car under those conditions? Not me.

Everest Gray is beautiful. I'm very happy with them. The only red is the stitching on the wheel.

Wouldn't have one without sport seats.

I got leatherette sportline seats in my car and the stitching is barely noticeable. If M-Sport would have been available sooner I would have bought it. My car does look fantastic, though. I can't complain.

Same here. Black Sportline on 19 inch 401s. But black leather interior, red stitching yes, but no worries.
I got rid of the red strip on the dash though(aluminium plus black piano)

Yesterday I had a guy walking by complimenting me on my rather dirty(didn't wash it in about 2 months) car.

About the M -Sport: ALWAYS go with the 19 inch M-sport wheels as you already stated. The 18 inch wheels look way too small and almost chaepo on such a bonkers looking car a F30 M Sport is.

Cheers

18" IMO look fine. 19" look a bit nicer but 'it's not the size of the ship that counts, it's the motion of the ocean'.

19" on the UK's potholed tarmac will be a nightmare. 18" give a better ride.

Oh, the M Sport does not look bonkers, it's how all F30s should look in the first place. The other types just look very ordinary.

Mine doesn't. And to each their own. A F30 estheatically looks better with 19" wheels imo. I understand your UK B roads are worse than our B roads, so that's a valid argument, but the 19" wheels still just make the whole car...

Cheers

An inch made all the difference: me either hating the ride and the car or loving it. I've driven one with 19" wheels + Adaptive Suspenders and could not stand it. It was noisier, the steering was not as sweet, the ride rough and jiggley and it tramlined a bit more. Sometimes beauty can be a pain in the arse!

You get what you like. I like both the M Sport and Sportline, but when it came down to buying the car, I went with the Sportline. I like the look, I like the foglights, and the MSPort was only cosmetic changes with no aerodynamic advantage, and no power or handling advantages. I wasn't trying to skimp, I put on about $14k in options, MSport just didn't warrant the extra expense for me. Its tough to read in here those that criticize any choice but going with the MSport. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and so is the cash. In my case, when I buy another BMW, I'm going with the real M,...M3 or M5. I am sure you will love whatever you choose.

They more or less did this with the 335is. Not sure why they discontinued it.

when i first saw the F30 i wasn't super thrilled with the look of the sport line.

when the m-sport came out (that and the fact i could finally get xenons without premium for 2013) it pushed me closer to buying a car.

when my 2010 A4 had a major component fail again and continued to burn a quart of oil ~every 1500-2000 miles and neared its warranty end, well that got my deposit. M-SPORT ALL THE WAY. it just looks better. the steering wheel feels better. and the rims too. yeah its all cosmetic but $1250 isnt too much.

I live in chicago and the roads here are not so great, and i am fine with my 19s in fact they are so smooth that I would consider getting 20s
