Yesterday I went to my dealership and found out that the F30 LCI has a new Isofix/Latch mounting point, is much better, is has a plastic cap that you can lift open and the mounting point is right there

In my car (F30 2014) you must lift the back of the seat and “make room” for the locks and that prying makes the leather to bend upwards.

When you remove the seat, is looks very ugly

Can’t a mounting cap like that be retrofitted?

The F30 has had it since launch. Even the E90 had them
It comes on the cars with fold down rear seats.

You can buy the cap from any BMW dealer.
Its not made to fit the non folding rear seat and you will have to cut your leather to try and get it in.

Ok so what has changed is that my dealer is now ordering all the cars with folding back seats....
