CBS indicated oil change
For those of you who have had their first oil change, can you share at what mileage you had it done?
Mine was at 13.5k km, inspection was also at same time. I have 5 years/80k package. EDIT: This was done at approx after 6 months ownership. Last edited by x5mad; 09-02-2014 at 06:10 PM.. |

12.8k kms
This was carried out by BMW service centre at my car's 2nd annual inspection 2 weeks ago. The CBS did not suggest the oil change. BMW have bowed to customer pressure for more frequent oil changes than what had been programmed into the computer. Just take a look at the threads about this contentious issue.

How do u guys make the dealer perform an oil change without additional charge outside of whats already part of the corporate deal? |

That is way too long and I would be really uncomfortable with this interval. |

My first oil change was two months ago at around 22900 km. Car was 20 months old at that point and the CBS did prompt for an oil change. You are sure you are still on the original oil?

My '13 335i is at 36100km after 11 months with 2900km left until oil change according to the CBS. I did an early oil/filter change at about 6000km after break in was over. I do a lot of freeway kms though, so that probably extends the service interval.
