Low tire Question
Hi guys, had a low tire warning yesterday, and when I checked the tire it was half normal pressure so I think I'll have to repair or replace. I have about 10k miles on the car so do I have to replace both rear tires? I have 17" Conti all-seasons. Thanks!

Do you check regularly? If not, it might have just gotten low enough to trigger a warning, if you fill it up and it deflates more then you have a problem. To my understanding tires will lose a normal amount of air over time though.

Warning comes on way before half and any normal loss should more or less apply to all tires and not be so drastic. Sudden temperature changes can have a big impact, but again, not just to one tire.. Not sure I would worry about replacing both tires to keep wear the same, but I guess that depends on how low the tread is on the one that is still good.

Thanks guys, I filled it up and was able to drive to work with no further warnings, I think it's a slow leak although I can't see the cause. I will try to get it repaired.

extreme weather temp changes can also make the pressure go up and down
