Got a scrape!! How should I repair it?

Hey guys

Got my first major scratch/scrape !! Was backing into my spot and got distracted by something and I nudged the back of my friend's motorcycle (who parks behind me).

Trying to cool the rage by thinking I can get this repaired quickly and fairly inexpensively.

Here's some photos of the damage, what would be the best way to repair this? Touch up? Or would I really have to get the whole trunk resprayed...

That looks deep (meaning its gone through clearcoat, paint and is exposing bare metal).

Two options:-
1. Best : Bodyshop, repaint, blend etc. You won't remember it was there. Also $$

2. Cheaper: Touch-up paint + ClearCoat. You will see it within 1 foot, but from far, you won't notice it, if: 1. You take your time and follow instructions (light paint coats + clearcoat) 2. You have some artistic skills or a friend that does. The reason I mention this is I tried doing this on a previous car and I made more of a mess so I ended up trying to take it off and it got worse! Luckily the guy who bought the car didn't notice it. However, for the next car, I practiced a bit and it came out wayyy better. Also took my time. You can see it from close, but from far it looks untouched.

I've had my car all of 1.5 weeks and a teenage girl just backed into my rear bumper at church tonight. Fortunately it only caused a fairly minor abrasion that I think can be buffed out and a small bulge on top of the bumper. I think once it's buffed, no one will be able to notice except me.

But still...ugh.

Hmm yeah I think I'm gonna take it to the body shop and see what they say. I already have to go to get my rims repaired for some minor spots so hopefully they can just take care of everything at once.

AudiA4 That sucks man, you must have been raging. I was raging just with this little scrape.

Sucks man, but it happens, at least no parts to buy, just touch up.

If you have even the slightest feeling that it's the motorcycles paint on your car....use a little bit of perfume and a clean cloth. It has gotten me out of many tight situations.

Unfortunately I don't think so. His mirrors are made of metal (which is what I tapped) and it just scraped the paint right off. Shame because it was a very light tap but it didn't take much.

It's a simple fix if you know what you're doing and have the necessary tools, in this case an airbrush, but if you don't take it to a body shop.

If he were a professional I don't think he would be asking us. Highly doubt he has air brush or he would have mentioned it. Best thing is to spend some cash to a professional and get it fixed and have some piece of mind. I know something that big touched up would still bother me.

Well, took it to a good body shop and the guy said he will re-paint just the backside of the trunk for $225 CAD. He's also going to fix a few other minor details for free while he's at it. Going to leave the backside debadged after this as well (xDrive and 328i logo).

Thanks for the suggestions guys. If it was more of a minor scratch I might have attempted the touch up stuff but I guess when the damage is more obvious it's better to get it done by a pro.
