Mercedes Used Markup

So a female friend of mine has decided on an A class, dont ask! Her budget cannot quite stretch to a 1 series with similar spec.

Anyway, we have found a used a class at Brooklands, Weybridge. Just under 20k. Anyway, what do people think is a mark up on something like that and how much realistically could you get off the car. Salesman has already told us that they are at the end of the month and need to get in sales figures for the month.

It still amazes me that anyone buys A class’s despite all the reviews being so bad! They are honestly terrible cars.

Tell me about it. She is off to BMW to try a 1series tomorrow, so fingers crossed!

Stick her in a Golf and it will be a revelation compared to the A Class or 1 Series.

Her budget will buy a nice Mk 7 GTi if she likes a bit of speed or a newer lesser model if power isn’t important.

Or an A3 if the VW badge isn’t prestige enough.

If your friend can wait until December deals get even better. Showroom traffic dries up and as well as end of month, it's end of quarter. If it's a car they have in stock they will be even keener to deal.

The girl next to me in the office brought an A200 and it is awful. Whiny gutless engine. Thick bezel around the centre display. Cramped back seats. Poor view out the back window. Yet it comes at a premium?! Over priced junk. Better off with a SEAT or Skoda with a powerful engine you can wring out.
