wal mart has pennzoil platinum synthetic on sale 5w40 28 bucks for 4.7litres , will our cars have an issue using this brands oil??? 2014 320i xdrive.

Pennzoil is made by Shell, which is the OEM supplier. Not sure which Pennzoil product is the same; check the bottle for the LL-01 (or ACEA A3/B3-4 rating). Usually the OEM product is 5W-30 because of various reasons (mostly MPG).
