Do you have USMILLWORKS license plate kit?

Hi,

About to order one. Just wondering if you went with the quick release option or just the standard/lightened? Is it worth getting the quick release or is standard/lightened good enough for car washes.

Yes it's only $30 addition, but that's about 40% of the cost of the normal version lol

thanks!

I got the lightened, quick-release version because that is the only version that affords enough mounting options to clear my PDC sensors. It's a very nice piece!

So can anyone "quick release" the plate off or is it still secure in terms of someone stealing it?

Anyone who knows how to do it can remove it. Nothing other than cotter pins and the locking plate.

Must M-Sport issue because I have a 435 CG Sport Line version and no issue with the non-quick release kit. Took maybe 15 minutes and 2 or 3 tries to get it in the right spot but no issues since (installed it last November). Good luck!

I have the Rho-Plate on my F31, after taking it off ONCE (for a track day) and trying to put it back the threads stripped out. Luckily I was able to retap but basically, a quick release is best anyway because it would suck to have to buy a new holder everytime you go to the track or had to get towed from the front.

I bought the quick release USMILL for the S3 and it is a very nice piece, highly recommend it.

Just got a basic one for my F30. If you plan on going to the track often, might be beneficial to go for the quick release version.

I have a GC M Sport no PDC, I started with the lighter plate but no quick release, when I was going to wax my car it was a bit of hassle to remove the plate so I ordered the quick release kit. I really like the quick release.

Yea, but from everything I've read usmillworks seems to be known more for the quality. Also, it looks like USMILL would cover the full license plate versus pedalhaus.
