I've had aftermarket coils on all my cars. Never had to rebuild until 60+ thousand miles. Depends what you want, too. M Perf isn't going to lower me as much as I want.

Also, if you use your car as a daily driver, you'll have to rebuild your coilovers from time to time which means downtime.
Talk a little more about that... which system requires you to have your coilovers rebuilt? I had Stasis Coilover suspension on my Audio (which i'm sure your aware of already is made by Ohlines) and much to much surprise it was recommended to sent the coilvers back to stasis every X number of miles to have shock or strut rebuilt... i was like, what??? who the hell can have their car unusable while they basically do an entire suspension install each time they have this done. I didn't know this until i bought some used Stasis coilovers & one of the Struts was bottoming out.. i contact stasis & they told me that story.. i couldn't believe it.

Are you saying that M Performance suspension would not require this??? But any coilver system would?

The M Performance Suspension would not require this. You just get the part numbers for all the struts and simply replace them when they are worn.

Yes, except I drive at least 30,000 miles per year so I would be rebuilding every two years or less.

Also, you don't really want to lower that much for performance.

There's a reason why all the premium coilover manufacturers such as Ohlins, AST, etc. only lower about 5-10mm lower than the OE Sport Suspension (RWD) ride height. In fact, the M Performance Suspension doesn't lower more than 10mm beyond the OE Sport Suspension either.

BMW and the other high end coilover companies have done their research and that's why their specs are similar. Lowering beyond 10mm will probably hinder performance while making your car less practical on a daily basis.
