Bridgestone WS-70 are very good tires, but they are not recommended for rear wheel drive cars. They are very soft and will wear down very quickly. You want to get a tire with a speed rating of at least H!

I picked up a set of Replika R141s in 18x8" et35mm offset. I have the blue m brakes and the manufacturer confirmed for me that they had measured and test fitted an F30 with these brakes so fitment should be great. They manufacturer website has a list of dealers in Canada. http://www.replika.ca/
For rubber I grabbed a set of 225/45/18 Nokian Hakkapeliita R2. I ran Nokians on my rear wheel drive E90 and never had a problem in Edmonton. Really looking forward to trying them on the x-drive F30. I highly recommend checking into Nokians if you haven't already. I will probably put everything on the car this weekend. Forecast is looking pretty cold here now. |

It's all about the rubber compound. The lower the speed rating the softer the tire. The softer the tire, the faster it wears out. Do proper research when it comes to winter tires, don't only shop by price. Especially if you're leasing your car. You're better off spending a little more now than having to buy another set of winters for your last year of your lease. |

Any good price in the GTA for a set of TPMS. Just picked up my 435i and it has TPMS. Looks like BMW has switched to TPMS in Canada from the ABS system. The dealer wants $800 for the set, talk about been a little crazy. The Tire Rack has a set for around $200.

I have had some experience now with the Michelin XIce3 on my F31. It's a little difficult to compare to my Legacy/Hakkapelitta combo as it is my first winter in the car (and ever with an auto tranny) but initial impressions are that the XI3 are as good as the Hakka's in snow and quieter on dry roads.

Thats MAXIMUM speed. Sidewalls are way softer so car will be all over the place at highway speed. OEM is exactly right...get H at least. |

I am getting mine put on tonight....they are Pirellis I think - pretty sure they are considered a "performance winter tire" which is not really what I wanted considering my car is RWD....but it came with the package from the dealership.

i think for a rwd car its better to get the ws70/x-ice3 , last year on my f30 335i rwd, i ran lm60s, and there wasn't enough grip, this year i decided to switch to ws70. My initial feel was that the ws70 dont grip as well as the lm60, but im pretty sure the ws70 will handle a lot better than the lms in snow. bottom line is one accident will cost more than a set of brand new winters, might as well get a set of decidated winter tires if u have a RWD, if u have x-drive then i think lm-60/pa3,4 will be a better choice.

uhh....i did lol....everyone have different opinions, i dont consider "wear down faster" as one of the factor when it comes to buying winter tires, like one i said, is one collision more expensive or getting a new set of winters? yes ws70 does have softer rubber compoud....but i mean do u literally corner at 80km/h on winters? or do u drive 190 on the highway? if u drive at normal speed and take turns at normal speed, rubber compoud doesnt really matter except that it will wear faster, and it comes back to the point where a set of winters is more worth it then getting into an accident.

That tire is for minivans etc and is NOT H rated. Thats all I'm getting at. Its not about cornering at 80 or going 190, its about stability at highway speeds and anything less than H will be twitchy. If you know anything about tires and are really concerned about that 1 accident then you would not put that tire on a 335. I've been there and its not good. Maybe that wont bother you. You should be on the 60 if you want Blizzaks.

^Personally I would go with the more aggressive tire which would be the xi3. I put them on my F31 (xDrive) and with my limited experience so far they are great.

The Pirelli is V rated and the Michelin is H rated. I'd put the Pirelli on rwd .Will be way more stable and way more fun when roads arent snow covered. I never run RFT anymore.
