Foam cannon question
I live in an apt complex, so I have no access to hose or garage. Not a fan of ONR currently, but will use it if I car grime is not that heavy at time of wash.
I have a self serve car wash that uses hand held power washers. I was wondering if there was a way I can purchase a foam cannon and hook it up to a public car wash center. I tend not to use the soap at these places at I feel they are very harsh and slowly strip my sealant |

Yeah the soap is harsher than you would probably use but the brush is what does your paint in and causes all the scratches since people use those for God knows what. If you could bring you own wash mitt or brush it wouldn't be so bad. I know those places frown upon that but if you are quick it probably won't matter. I would do that before I brought a cannon to the wash. JMO

save the money and go with a waterless detailing / cleaning setup where you either use a waterless spray and or soap bucket with microfiber towels. You will be able to clean anywhere, with less waste, and you will always know the paint was treated well. In regards to brands of cleaning supplies its up for serious debate, but I am a fan of 1Z and chemical guys products.

I'm not convinced that the foam cannon does much or is seriously worth the extra cost, time and effort.
Bring your own bucket, soap, and mitt to the coin-op stall. I've been doing this for years and have never run into an issue. |
