People who coded 6NH to 6NK Bluetooth Audio

I coded 6NH to 6NK, I now have functioning bluetooth audio streaming. However, now the idrive doesn't recognize the call function of my phone, so I can't make calls. I also noticed that I don't have 6NL, not sure if that makes a difference. Also I'm using a Samsung Galaxy s4. Thanks

6NL is 6NK + Telematics (BMW Assist). You would have one or the other, but not both.

Edit: Nothing to fault of the coding, tried another phone, and the connectivity was fine.

Hi,

I think it can be a good practice to re-do pairing of you phone after a modification of bluetooth capability of your car : you 're sure that your phone and your car will use the maximum of their common bluetooth capabilities.

By extension, i re-do pairing of my phone with the car after each ROM evolution of my phone (I've got a Blacberry Z10) to be sure that new bluetooth capabilities of my phone are correctly discovered by the car, which may or not use them.

Hoping someone can point out the obvious.

I change the FA in my 328i to enable bluetooth streaming but now my voice control doesn't work, did I miss something? I only change the one part.

I can press the button on the wheel but it's as if the mic is no longer working as the car just keeps telling me to input a voice command.

Did you VO code the head unit as well mate?

Just make sure you VO Code the actual ECU and not the underlying CAFD file.

I just did mine the other night changing 6NH to 6NS. It is streaming perfectly fine now. Is there a different code I should be using (6NK)?

If you have NBT Head Unit with >= 0713 Production Date, then it is 6NS. Older NBT Units and non NBT Head Units would use 6NK or 6NL if car also has Telematics (BMW Assist).

If yours is working though, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks to Shawn I'm able to stream BT music in my car by coding from 6NH to 6NS. I have also noticed that my daughter's Samsung android mobile phone messages can be seen on display in Office, but nothing from my Iphone 5S ?! To be honest that was not my target and as long as EBT is up and running I'm very happy

More fun times with loaners....

Loaner is a MY 2014, 7/2013 build with 6NH, so I changed FA to 6NL and VO coded HU_ENTRY and CMB_MEDIA. Also physically checked the combox in the trunk.

I see the bluetooth stream options for my phone and enabled it in iDrive, but I cant hear anything. Did I forget something?

You need to enable Bluetooth notifications on your iPhone.

Go to Settings > Bluetooth and then select your car and turn on notifications.

Additionally I tried to activate the basic voice recognition feature, but it doesn't work. I have set the parameter "CMB_MEDIA - TELEM 3000 - SYS_EIN_AUS" to "aktiv". Do I have to set any other parameter to activate that feature or is there some hardware missing?
I have HU_ENTRY and Combox installed.
