Hello,
I have problem. My fixing bow in exhaust pipe, part 18307620323, broke off so just bought a new one from the dealer.
The fixing bow goes in between the electronic valve controller and the actual valve flap in exhaust pipe muffler. Image below (not my photo)



I need mount fixing bow to the flap in my exhaust pipe muffler and can't do this because electronic valve controller is not in the same line as flap.(electronic valve tip is turned farther than flap tip)

I have read in the service manual something like this:

Installation note:

If the actuator drive is over the end stop and cannot be connected with the C-retainer of the exhaust flap, the actuator drive must be moved to the mounting position via the BMW diagnosis system.
Connect the vehicle with the BMW diagnosis system:

• Select the exhaust flap control.
• Select installation position button

Can someone tell me what is BMW diagnosis system? It could be ISTA? But which type ISTA/D, ISTA/P, ISTA+ ?

I have the same question. Anyone know what the install
Position is for the actuator? Is it with the flap closed or open position?
