Lol, here's a @hitty blurry evening pic...I'll get more when there's more light out and things have settled...

Driving around tonight, I can't get over how different the handling is...took a right hand turn at a green light (empty streets, so no haters here ok), and had a less than graceful ass slide at 48 mph, but very under control...I think my initial impressions of being planted are firmly established everytime I toss her in a corner.

The winter tires don't help:

Oh yeah these area noticeably stiffer than the Sportline/M sport springs, but because they were matched for these struts, they weren't oversprung.

I would say its noticeably more planted than the Half-baked sport setup I had before...

If I had a stock sport suspension, it might be a difficult choice to justify nearly $3000 in labor+parts.
Thx for the feedback. I want get stiffer suspension setup, but it sounds like the M Perf. Is not worth it for me. Maybe the labor will be cheaper since I don't need to install the ARBs

Could you please post some more pictures? All of the shots you posted are much appreciated, but extremely hard to get an idea of how the car sits with the springs installed

do you think its possible to install just the performance springs as a way to lower? or would that jack up the handling too much since they're paired for the entire kit?

just thinkin of a way i dont have to uninstall stuff before returning a lease yrs later

You're not paying any extra for installing the struts.

All you're saving is cost of the struts, which is $1500...HOWEVER, on trademotion or whatever, they are now selling the struts AND springs for $1500, so it's honestly awash from that perspective.

From a performance point of view, you're going into uncharted territory.

Would be cheaper to just buy H&R springs...I doubt BMW would sell you springs only, so warranty is awash too.

Thumbs up

Ok, took some this morning when fueling up. This is with several hundred miles on the odo, so this is as low as she'll go.

Hope these pictures are a little better, it's tough to really tell given how dark the car is, dark the wheel well is, and running on winter tires...

For comparison my front on H&R sport sits at 27.5 inch. So it looks like I'm going back up 1/2 an inch, my M perf kit is on the way.

Edit: I meant 25.7, not 27.5.

Thanks for the pics! So it looks like your car was lowered almost a full inch up front? Thats a lot considering that it is supposed to be a 10mm drop! Can you post some full shots of the car?

27.5 is the lowered measurment? Wouldnt that mean you are sitting higher than stock?

The second picture turned on it's side is the stock sport springs that your car came with right?

what's that little black dot in front of the wheel arches? Looks like a .5" drop over the stock sport, which is about right (~10mm).
My "drop" is settling in more over time, I've dropped a little over an inch from stock height (so more than 20mm).

definitely at least a half inch drop... i'll try to post more pics soon. and yes, the second pic was on stock springs.

More important, the ride is so much better! Makes me not miss my tuned 2009 e90 335i too much.. and hopefully the suspension is put to use with more power via a solid tune from Cobb. i'm really tempted to try out the n55 piggy from burgertuning to tide me over in the meantime... thread derailed...

Thumbs up Here are some better pictures with the drop settled...

Okay, filled up gas today (in the evening) and had some descent lighting...

Finally looking at it myself in good light, I like the drop...the 18" M Sport Rims will fill it out nicely, and I might even get 15mm spacers in the rear/10mm in front to even up the side rake...

Lol, but with performance suspension you get the drop you had on a stock E9x car... I wonder how high the next generation will be?

Great pics! Really shows the nice athletic stance the car has now. Are your wheels in the photos 17" or 18"?
