Looks great - I posted before shots of my MSport earlier today. Mind posting your ride height thru center line of wheel once the springs settle? Also, what was the damage on suspension install? Still waiting to hear back from my local dealers. It really sucks being in the Bay Area. Seems like dealers around here don't really care much about customer service. May have to take a drive to SoCal to get this done.

very very nice. Congrats James. How much stiffer would you say the ride is? When you say its how it "should" be, do you mean in terms of body roll or do you prefer a lot firmer of a ride.

Im pretty sure I want to do this, but my main concern is too stiff of a ride, as it has to be wife and baby approved. Wife is fine with a sporty feel, but can't be as harsh as a 'true sports car" if that makes sense.

Would you say it's simply more athletic or is it noticeably harsher over bumps?

Thank you for posting pictures! Your car looks great! I am installing my M-Performance suspension next week and based off of your photos, I think the ride height with my 19"s will be perfect!

I know it's subjective but let me do my best. I think BMW states its about 30% stiffer. I assume stiffer than the sport lines standard suspension. I would say this is accurate. The bumps and road feel are more noticeable but not jarring. The crispness in lane change and improved drive feel are much more precise. There is virtually no body roll.

I drove a loaner home today. A 328i coupe and the road noise seemed a little less than this new suspension so I feel the trade of is worth it. If you're spouse doesn't mind sporty then she most likely wont mind this upgrade. But also consider that if you live in a rutted area with lots or road imperfections, it might wear on you. Is sunny San Diego, the roads only suck because of differed maintainence. But generally they are pretty good. So driving with this set up is good for the most part.

Hope this helps and sorry for typos iPhone published

It does help, thanks for your explanation. From what I gather, it seems like for 70 percent or so of the time I don't think my wife would notice (or i would be bothered by the harshness), and occasionally over harder bumps, it may be noticeable. I love what IM hearing about no body roll, and turning response, as that's exactly what I want...but I can't have it resemble a 'sports car' so to speak in terms of stiff ride. I'll mull over it, but this is exciting to hear....would love to see more pics if you have em!

Back from dealer today. Brake issue resolved with coding and another brake flush. Seems the old fashioned way wasn't sufficient to remove all the air from the lines. The correct way is to use a vacuum to draw the fluid through the system to purge the air. The brakes are much improved and feel more capable then the previous set (probably just plecebo but hey I'm happy).

The suspension is a lot of fun. Makes me want to push the car. Sorry that I didn't get an opportunity to get more photos up. Ill try again tomorrow. Thanks for the compliments and interest.

James

Thanks to Shivas for being such a gracious ginea pig (spelling?) risking a lot to help us all. You too Bchips. Thanks !

No problem bros!
Here for the boards...ill do the same for the PPK too :-)

I'm surprised your wives noticed, mine hasn't, nor have I told her-the fact that she sneaks off with the car is proof in the pudding.

Of course getting stuck with the RDX kind of sux.
