My 2012 F30 - Glacier Silver Metallic
Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker of these forums for the past while but never got the chance to post my very own, so here it is. It'll be a bit lengthy as I purchased this 335i last July of 2019. I was always a fan of Japanese domestics since I got my license at 18 and been through my share of Hondas - building to tracking, I got the whole experience. But it was time for a "real" upgrade so I purchased my first BMW - a 2012 F30 335i Sportline in A83 Glacier Silver Metallic. You may be wondering why I didn't get the M-Sport edition and that is because at the time I was searching there were no M-Sports within my budget, especially in a 6-speed, so I settled for the Sportline. It's unfortunate that during the times you look for something specific, it's no where to be seen and a bunch magically appear when you aren't looking. Despite that, after a few cosmetic changes I no longer mind that it's a Sportline and enjoy every second of driving it. UPDATED - CURRENT MOD LIST: BMS JB4 Tune BMS Intake VRSF Chargepipe VRSF Catless Downpipe JC Sportline Front Lip Single Slat Black Grilles PSM Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler OEMConcept 437m Wheels (19x8.5 ET35, 235/40/19 & 19.9.5 ET40, 265/35/19) M-Sport ZHP Shift Knob Various Bimmercode Coding Here are a few shots of my previous Honda EM1 in it's last stage: Fast forward to July 2019 picking up my first BMW. There is no better feeling than seeing it in the lot of the dealer: The first mod of business was an M4-style carbon trunk spoiler... Next up was 35% front tint and 18% rears... Since my car is still within it's warranty period, I could not go for a flash tune right away so I opted for the JB4 piggyback along with a Dinan carbon cold air...
I got bored of the Dinan intake and wanted to change it to something different, so I switched to the BMS short ram to pair perfectly with the JB4. I kept this set up for awhile over the first winter and thought it was about time to get more bolt-ons to increase power and run a higher map. VRFS chargepipes and catless downpipe... Something very unfortunate about all non M-Sports is the hideous front end that looks like it's been sat on and squished vertically, so I decided to do something about that. Purchased a JC front lip and had it colour-matched with the bumper reflectors as well... Sold off my M4 style trunk spoiler for something a little more obnoxious... I desperately needed a new set of wheels as the factory ones were running winter Blizzaks still and not to mention curbed to sh*t by the previous owner. I hit up OEMConcept in sponsored classified and placed an order for 437m style wheels in a staggered set-up... As of currently, here she now sits patiently waiting for the next wave of mods to come. Building this car is not a priority in life at the moment but I wouldn't mind copping some parts if some good deals pop up locally. For now, she's putting down decent power and looking mighty fine in my books: Last edited by k1drobot; 06-15-2020 at 01:08 PM.. |
