I have had black Dakota in my 1er for 5 years.. I keep the car immaculate but I have only ever used a normal APC on the seats. To be fair I don't do a lot of miles, and the kids rarely get in.. so its not often dirty... or what I find works well on the BMW interior and seats is the pot of matt wipes from Halfords (white pot, yellow lid cant recall the make).
I do have some meguaires leather treatment that I bought when I got the car, but I have never opened it. |

Gliptone is the stuff for leather, give it a clean with the Gliptone CLeaner and then there is a separate conditioner that softens the leather again and even manages to release a bit of new leather smell again.

Guys i have tried many, don't use cream on new leather you don't need it, i use Dr Leather wipes he is a leather specialist and he also does liquid when seat are bad, I keep some wipes in car in zipped freezer bag to keep moist, i have tested Gliptone , Autoglym , and many more, you won't be disapointed

This is the first car with leather seats i have had for around twenty years or so. Then, i wouldn't even have thought of keeping the leather seats clean. |

Perhaps the products available in the UK differ from those here in the USA....in my experience, it doesn't matter much what you use, but rather that you use something. You have to remember the leather on our car seats isn't the same quality leather one will find on an Hermes saddle, so avoid the stuff crafted for the super fine quality leathers; you just don't need it because it won't make a difference. The fancy stuff will, however, keep your leather lasting and looking good just as long as the cheap stuff will.

BMW leather cleaner+ feed.
I've used BMWs own leather cleaner + feed on my oyster leather.
Seems to work quite well at cleaning this light coloured leather, but I have no idea how well it feeds the leather. |

Hi - would you say this is a good option for someone who hasn't really cleaned their dakota grey leather for about 3.5 years? It's got lots of what looks like staining from clothes etc...?

Get yourself some Dr Leather liquid and race glaze soft bristled brush or smal swissvax brush to agitate and when dirt lifts out mop up with moist Micro Fiber towel
