Auto start stop disabled...
After installing a ECU tune for my N20 engine (2012 328i), I found that my auto start stop was no longer functioning.
I'm wondering if my IBS got damaged in the process of removing the negative connections from battery, or when reconnecting the negative terminal. Would a bad IBS trigger the check engine light? I know it's not a good sign if the auto start stop is no longer working. Can a bad IBS lead to other issues if I don't get this issue resolved soon? Just looking to understand what's going on. No check engine light so I don't feel too worried.

Nm all good. Ha to give my car a goo night's sleep before it felt like going back to auto start stop. I read on the Internet that it may have to do with the IBS needing some time for it to measure the battery charge and ensure the battery is in condition to function ASS.

What ECU tune do you mean? A piggyback controller or ECU (performance) tune or a BMW update?
