I have a 328d that’s tuned. I have one fault code that’s persistent because of my tune/coding, but there are no CELs or error messages on the dash or in iDrive. Anyone know if my car would pass an emissions inspection in NoVA with this fault? I recently moved here so I’m not sure what the testing procedure consists of or how strict it is. All I know is that I don’t qualify for the rapid pass because I have a diesel.

Newish to the area myself. My tuned 428i passes emissions (OEM downpipe) with 1 monitor as "not ready". The printout indicates they test for emissions related trouble codes & CEL.

Well I don’t have any CEL but that one fault code is definitely emissions related.

Look up online where they place those emission test gadgets by the road side and drive by a couple of times at the correct speed and gas pedal deflection (see their guidance). A few weeks later you can look up your car and see if you passed. Then you can just pay online, I think.
