Shift paddles short circuit to B+ error code

I got this error while trying to install the shifter. Not sure if it’s shifter paddle problem, wiring problem on the steering wheel, or both.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

Check to make sure the connectors are fully seated/plugged-in, not caught, etc.

I had something similar to this. Unfortunately that was just a faulty paddle shifters. After replacement to a new one everything worked no errors anymore.
Have you tried with another one?
