A good pair of noise canceling headphones will solve the problem.

my windshield just crakcked and goes in next week, going to speedy auto glass. what was the part for the windshield that you got them to install. I will ask my service tech if he can install that one as well. The oem glass is really thin and definitely not acustic/

Here is a picture of it. If you have a HUD, make sure the glass is stamped as so as well (non-HUD has a different part number), otherwise you will get double vision.

Do you have a guide on how to actually do it?
Hey there! I know it's been forever since then but I'm facing the same challenge now and I wonder if you had any luck finding any additional info/video on how to install that seal? Picking it up today and not looking forward to the installation.

Update: turned out to be much easier than anticipated. The material is foamy (I thought it's more rubber-like), so you just have to align it with the area it's supposed to cover behind the door hinges and then just push it in, it pretty much fits by itself. Took like 5 mins.

Not sure about the cabin noise improvement as I didn't have a chance to drive yet. Hoping to hear less engine/turbine noise as well as less noise from the wheels (especially on wet surface).

Thanks for the follow up. I may purchase one to try on my F32. Didn't see an F32 specific one.

Something to add for the thread: My F32 has a seal attached to the door, that seals against the fender when the door is closed. Yours may have it, as it's a 4-series but the OP didn't, when I was looking at his pictures.

It's better, yet less expensive, than most products of this type. Line everything you can. In the doors you don't need to put it on the outside sheet metal, adding it under the door liners will do. Line the floor with it completely, which requires pulling the carpet. It is a major job, but that's the only way you'll get a significant noise reduction.
Would you recommend this for wheel well lining?
