side mirrors auto-dimming

Anyone else notice the side view mirrors don't dim as much as the e90 cars? is there a coding for this to adjust sensitivity?

I can't compare to e90, but find mine are sufficient in most instances. I have noticed though that they only dim when the rear view one is being blinded. So if someone is in the side lane sometimes it won't dim enough.

As far as I know there aren't settings to adjust.

Our auto dimming with the rear-view mirror is not as significantly noticeable as with the manually operated ones. Even my 2003 E46 with auto dimming is not as good as my 2001 X5's manually operated dimming.

It's not the rear view I notice. It's the side mirrors. It seems they don't get as dark as my e90 did

There is coding. The side view dimming is tied to the rear view to a certain degree.

I can't speak to E90, but I can say that they don't dim as much as my Lexus did.
