More 330d PPK Questions (Sorry)
Another member has kindly pointed out that BMW are doing an offer on their PPK for the 330d, amongst other models, here;
http://www.bmw.co.uk/en_GB/topics/ow...6ef9ae04063ad9 I'm not one for normally modding my cars but I have a very high spec 330d which I bought outright and like it so much that I will probably keep it longer than normal (famous last words). Also a few reviews from owners on here who have upgraded are positive. One of the precious few options I don't have are the M Sport brakes, which I was not unhappy about since I don't think they look right on a black car, so I need to have the upgraded brakes as well. Interestingly at the the first service, 2 months ago, the front brake pads were deemed OK but the iDrive system is reporting that they will only last for another 8,000 miles so it might be worth getting the kit. However I have also read on here that the front brake pad sensor gets knocked and the pads are actually fine. I recall that there was a BMW pdf data sheet about the PPK which detailed the brake upgrade as well but I can't find it. Does anyone have it easy to hand? As far as pricing is concerned a recent upgrade cost a member £1,250 fitted but without brakes. This is the new RRP of the kit with brakes alone. Does anyone know what it was before this offer? Can I expect a discount on parts and labour? If so what's feasible? I will be emailing my dealer but I also note that people have shopped around with some success. Any good dealers in the SE in this regard? Lastly is there any value in the replaced parts i.e. intercooler and brakes? Or will the dealer just bin them? Any way of offsetting the upgrade cost would help. Apologies for the questions, which have no doubt be answered before, but the search brings up an awful lot of results for PPK! Thanks. |

Quite an old thread now, so some info may be outdated, but look here:
PPK 330d You get the intercooler and ECU back from the PPK. I sold both on ebay. The ECU is probably more in demand now as a tuning company can use it to map remotely. Happy reading |

I've asked Sytner Sheffield for a price for this - I don't have the M-Sport brakes or the Plus pack either.
Dealer said they had to email BMW to find out price etc so expect to hear next week. |

According to the BMW website it costs the special offer price of £900 to fit the PPK to a 330D which already has M Sport brakes .

Well I'm expecting mine to be £1250 (based on the offers page) but ex/inc VAT is TBC and hopefully I can negotiate a discount too.

Agree £1,250 + VAT is £1,500 so why are they asking more, unless they are charging a bit more than other dealers for labour?
